Trump at Governors’ Ball: ‘We’re All in This Together’
Optimism and unity was in the air at the annual Governors’ Ball, where President Donald Trump addressed America’s governors.
“The fact is you’ve all, I know you very well. You’ve done a tremendous job. It’s not easy being governor, Trump said. “You just look at the way our country is doing: We’ve never done as well as we’re doing right now.”
A total of 43 governors gathered this weekend at the National Governors Association Winter Meeting in Washington, D.C.
Trump acknowledged occasional discord while assuring that he’s ready to help them in the name of togetherness.

“I know just about all of you, and we argue a little bit, but 90 percent of the time we get along,” Trump said. “And I just said, ‘Call the White House, call me anytime you have difficulty, because we’re all in this together.’”
Trump gave surety even with political adversaries in attendance, including Louisiana Gov. John Bel Edwards, who headlined several rallies against Trump late last year.
Trump insisted he’s focused on helping states no matter their differences.
“Anything I can do to help, you’re going to let me know; you’re going to call,” he said.
During the annual black-tie event at the White House, Trump extolled new trade deals with Canada, China and Mexico, plus earlier ones with Japan and South Korea – all “insuring to the benefit of your states and to you as governors.”
The National Governors Association (NGA) Winter Meeting ended on Monday.
