The MeetAmerica Movement Will Change Hearts, Touch Souls & Transform Our Country
“‘For I know the Plans I have for you’ declares the Lord, ‘Plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.’” – Jeremiah 29:11
Are you happy with the direction our country is headed? Do you feel full of boundless hope for our future? Do you see a united America in front of you? Do you see countless Americans, even people in your own life, lost to depression, anxiety, drugs, anger, rage and selfishness?
I am not happy with the direction things are headed. I am really concerned to see so many people hurting so much. I am sure you feel the same way, too. The division in our country is getting worse, deeper and frankly dangerous. These problems will not be solved with one leader. These problems will not be solved with a political party. America’s problem are solved in the love of God, the love of neighbor, the love of Jesus Christ.
So how do we solve our problems? What must be done?
To understand how we solve our problems we must understand some historical facts.
- America is a good country with people who are fundamentally good.
- We have been blessed with amazing freedoms and great system of Government.
- The combination of the 2 facts above have enabled America, though imperfect, to do more good for the world than any country in history.
In the past, great sins such as slavery played a major role in hurting our national unity and our hope. Then, as nation, through our Judeo-Christian unity, and our shared values of love of God and love of neighbor we were able to heal our wounds and make massive progress towards the fullness America’s calling as we grew through the Civil Rights movement. Yet, today we are experiencing another tear in national unity between those that know and love God and those that don’t. Christianity has been on the defense, losing influence, and hearts and minds, and souls, in America since God was pushed out of schools. Over time, this cultural decay, plus organized anti-Christian groups, have now gotten us to the point in 2020 that we have civil unrest, violence between radical mobs and police, radical mobs and innocent bystanders, 9th month and even post-birth abortion, physical attacks on Christians and churches and religious symbols, and a host of other things that are fundamentally anti-American that almost all of America finds reprehensible.
It is no longer possible for the Christian to stand on the sidelines and simply hope and quietly pray for things to get better. We must remember, that Christianity started with 12 followers, one of whom was a traitor. The fact is, from just 11 Christians, today Christianity has 2.4 billion believers across every nation in the world. This flourishing and growth of Christianity did not happen with just hope and quiet prayer. This happened because of Christians who were very public witnesses to Jesus Christ, who were supported in their work by the Holy Spirit. Today is no different.
The Christian needs to gain back their evangelical heart and do the work of Jesus Christ and spread the gospel – most especially in their own hometown as God put you, a Christian there for a reason!
Do Not Be Discouraged
1. America is still a good country with the vast majority of the people who are fundamentally good.
2. We have been blessed with amazing freedoms and great system of Government.
3. If as Christian’s we work and pray for an outpouring of the Holy Spirit upon countless souls in America, it will happen.
How can we save souls and heal America?
Did Billy Graham have the huge impact he did on millions of souls in America by hoping for a better future, quietly saying his daily prayers and defending Christian virtue in America? No. Billy Graham was offensive. Billy Graham had large public gatherings, all across our country, where he spread the message of the overpowering love and forgiveness of Jesus Christ, while publicly praying with thousands of other believers. As Christians we need to evangelize, organize, and pray — not only pray. We need to be offensive for Jesus, for hope, and for American unity.
We need a movement of millions of Christians across all of America who pray in public, in their hometown, with hundreds of local Christians, for healing, unity & hope in our nation.
John Paul II, before he was Pope, used large public prayer very effectively against the Communists in Poland and it played a large role in the fall of The Evil Empire of the U.S.S.R. First, Poland became free in large part thanks to massive public prayer which started the Solidarity movement and then went onto become part of the Solidarity movement against Godless communism. Then like dominoes Godless Soviet states fell and finally the communist government in Russia fell – this happened peacefully. This worked for two very important reasons: First, large, public gatherings attract attention, more followers and have a snowballing effecting on the culture. Second, God rewards public honor of Him (as Jesus told us, “Whoever is ashamed of me and my words, the Son of Man will be ashamed of when he comes in his glory and in the glory of the Father and of the holy angels.” (Luke 9: 25-26)) and God answers prayer said in faith as He told us, “Truly I tell you, if you have faith like a grain of mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you” (Matthew 17:20).
If Christians are in public, on the streets in large numbers praying together, acting like Christians, this light will spill into the streets, into the media, and into the hearts of our people. We will evangelize a nation that has grown, at best, to be lukewarm to Jesus. Public Christianity will embolden believers to share their faith when they see so many of their brothers and sisters on fire for the faith.
