Photo of Teen Helping Blind Woman Goes Viral
Americans perform acts of love every day and many go unnoticed.
Not Dontarius Caldwell’s.
His good deed was captured on camera by an onlooker which has now been shared by thousands.
Caldwell, 15, is being heralded for helping walk a blind woman across a busy intersection in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Not sure if he’s a wrestler Micheal Earls, Tristan Young, he has an Aiken hoodie on. This young man held this blind…
“This young man held this blind woman’s hand and helped her across Hamilton Avenue and then again across North Bend Rd. I have faith in humanity again!! Kudos young man,” wrote Mike Garibay on social media.
His photo of Caldwell holding a blind woman’s hand has been liked over 2,000 times and shared another 3,400.
As it turns out, Caldwell walks the woman across the street three times a week, according to Cincinnati’s Fox 19.
Caldwell’s mother, Sheena Ferrell, was happy to see the photo being shared, but wasn’t surprised about her son’s kindness.
“He’s always willing to help. He’s such a good kid. I just love him so much,” Ferrell told Fox 19.
Garibay wasn’t the only one praising Caldwell’s kind act. Hundreds of commenters offered praise.
“We all need to hear/see stories like this – to remind us that there is good in the world and how we should treat each other,” wrote Carrie Piercy.
“There is hope for all of us!!! Greatness in this young man,” wrote Margaret Montgomery.
