In God You Can Trust – and Feel Closeness

It’s easy to feel like nothing more than a statistic.

Upon birth, we’re given our own, personalized nine-digit code (which most of us protect far greater than our name).

Walk the streets of any major city, and you might sense you’re just another face in the crowd.

And yet for every time we’re left to feel like a number, or forgotten or unnoticed, there is a God who has counted the very hairs on our heads. His attention to detail is enormously beyond our grasp.

A friend of mine once worked for a large company with hundreds of employees. He wasn’t high on the organizational chart, and yet somehow the company president knew his name. Throughout his tenure, he remained amazed and overjoyed that someone so important could identify him.

Our God looks upon us with even greater care, because he not only knows our name – he loves us more than anything in the world. He knows our joys, our sorrows and our concerns before we even state them.

In a world that can seem filled with hopelessness, we are comforted knowing that God offers an intimacy – if only we turn to Him.

In God you can trust and know that He cares for you deeply. It’s a closeness that no one else can give.

Take rest in knowing that everything about you matters.

You’re an original.

God has a plan for you.

Your presence counts.
