Firefighters Help Family When Car Stops on Way to Hospital
Firefighters routinely go above and beyond the call of duty.
For proof, look no further than Hernando County, Florida.
It was there that a family was on its way to the hospital for a family member’s medical emergency when their car ran out of gas.
In a panic, they dialed 911 whereby paramedics and firefighters responded immediately.
Yesterday afternoon, a family of four was enroute to the hospital when their car suddenly ran out of gas. In a panic,…
Paramedics treated and transported the patient to a nearby hospital.
But they didn’t leave the remaining three members behind.
“Without hesitation, the engine crew decide to push the vehicle about a quarter mile up hill to get the family to the gas station,” Hernando County Fire Rescue wrote on its social media page. “HCFR administration would like to acknowledge the crew at station 11 for going above and beyond the call of duty to serve the citizens of Hernando County.”
The assist was appreciated by the family, because not only did they have no money for gas, their car tire was losing air.
“This truly exemplifies the meaning of why HCFR exists…to serve others!” the department wrote.
Hernando County Fire Rescue is located in Brooksville, about 45 miles north of Tampa.
