Carrie Underwood is busy these days promoting her first book, “Find Your Path: Honor Your Body, Fuel Your Soul, and Get Strong with the Fit52 Life.”

Much of the book focuses on fitness, but there’s also a discussion about fueling the soul – as in faith.

Underwood is no stranger to religion.

Before rising to fame on reality series “American Idol,” she sang at her local church in Oklahoma.

And yet stardom did little to detract from her dedication to Jesus Christ.

“The best moments in my life are when I say, ‘Hey, I can’t control everything, and that’s okay. God is in control,’” Underwood told Celebretainment.

Life moved fast for Underwood in a short period of time.

Her fame began in 2005 after winning “American Idol.” Then she met her future husband, then-NHL star Mike Fisher in 2008. Two years later they were married.

Underwood isn’t shy about her Christian faith as a family.

In an interview with Rare Country, Underwood said the couple regularly prays and reads faith-based books together. While she travels for concerts and promotions, they often read the Bible by phone to one another.

“Our spiritual bond is something we try to put first in our lives,” Underwood told Beliefnet.

In 2018 she revealed having experienced three miscarriages in just over a year, insisting that her faith helped her every step of the way.

“For the first time, I feel like I actually told God how I felt,” Underwood told People magazine in 2018.

Now with two sons, the couple works hard at raising devoted Christian sons. They regularly read their children Bible stories and attend church together, according to Beliefnet.

“God loves them, so it should be my job to do my best to love them as well,” Underwood said to People magazine.

She remains one of the top country music artists, but has also released several songs with Christian music influence.

“I’m not the first person to sing about God, Jesus, faith (or) any of that, and I won’t be the last. And it won’t be the last for me, either. If you don’t like it, change the channel.” Underwood told Glamour magazine.
